I just watched "Garden State" the other night, and to share my favorite quote from that movie (spoken by Natalie Portman):

"If you can't laugh at yourself, life's gonna seem a whole lot longer than you'd like."

Personally, I've found that many of the people I like -- and some of the better bosses that I've had -- are people who take their work seriously but don't take themselves too seriously. That is, I ggenerally seem to get along better with people who can laugh at themselves. I am also just fine when I'm watching a James Bond movie and hear Q or R say, "I never joke about my work, 007." :)
